Not just another timer

Set it once. The calendar keeps up.

A regular timer only knows the clock. SmartZman knows the calendar — candle lighting, tzeis, sunset — and moves with it automatically, week after week.

Build separate schedules for Shabbos, Yom Tov, and weekdays — using local zmanim, an offset before or after a zman, or just a fixed time.

Common questions

What is zmanim-based home automation?

Zmanim are halachic times calculated for a location and date. SmartZman uses them to schedule connected devices automatically, so a schedule tied to sunset or candle lighting follows the changing time throughout the year.

Can I set different schedules for Shabbos and Yom Tov?

Yes. SmartZman supports Shabbos, Yom Tov, and weekday schedules, with Israel and Chutz La'Aretz calendar settings. You can also use Hebrew or Gregorian dates and one-time or recurring schedules.

Which smart plugs and switches work with SmartZman?

SmartZman currently supports compatible TP-Link Kasa and Tapo smart plugs and switches. Honeywell thermostat support is in development, with more integrations planned. Check the integrations page or ask about your device before purchasing hardware.

Do I need a hub or to keep my phone on?

No additional SmartZman hub is required. Schedules run in the cloud, so your phone doesn't need to stay on. Your devices just need an internet connection.

Can I schedule a fixed time instead of a zman?

Yes. You can use a fixed clock time or a time relative to a zman, with one-time or repeating schedules.
